Dear Residents and Families:
I am sure you are all aware the continued effects of the pandemic with new positive cases as a result of the spread of the Delta virus throughout our state and surrounding community and the periodic breakthrough positive cases that have happened with some individuals who have been vaccinated.
We have just learned that 4 of our residents have tested positive. The residents remain in the facility, but are isolated from other residents until cleared following local health department and CDC guidance.
Given these positive cases, we have conducted the first round of testing of all residents with possible exposure to the positive residents and staff with no additional positive cases.
It is our top priority to keep our residents and staff safe. Given the risk to our unvaccinated residents and potential breakthrough cases for our vaccinated residents, we are asking that the residents remain in their own rooms as much as possible for the next 14 days.
Outside of the testing, we continue to monitor all residents for signs and symptoms of the virus or any other change in condition, and we will notify all responsible parties or designated family of any change and to discuss next steps. All of the infection control efforts that have been in place since the beginning of this pandemic and continue, including frequent cleaning of common areas and high touch surfaces, continual masking by visitors and staff in the Community and by residents when in common areas, social distancing, good hand hygiene and screening of all visitors and staff upon entry to the building.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Russell Sylvester, Executive Director
